Kylie Padilla opens up about her sons' relationship with AJ Raval
Kylie Padilla opened up about how AJ Raval lovingly treats her kids with Aljur Abrenica.
In an episode of YouLOL's Your Honor, the actress told hosts Chariz Solomon and Buboy Villar that she has no problems with the parenting style and loving nature of her ex-husband's partner.
"Super welcoming niya sa mga anak ko kasi nanay din siya, ‘di ba?" Kylie said. "Naririnig ko nga, lagi silang nagyayakapan, naglalambingan din."
She said she likes that her children are receiving love from someone who is not their blood relative.
"Gusto ko ‘yun kasi the more love my kids can get from people who love them authentically, go!"
Kylie also talked a bit about her co-parenting setup with Aljur.
"Ano ba ang definition ng co-parenting? Isn't it dapat 50-50?" she asked Solomon, who answered that it should be a 100% contribution from both parents.
"Ako 'yung 80%, siya [Aljur] 20 lang," she said in jest. "Pero wait, co-parenting pa rin kami. What I mean is sa akin 'yung kids 80% of the time."
"Okay naman na tao si Aljur. Kami lang 'yung nag-fail. Pero 'yung relationship nila [Aljur's kids], dapat solid pa rin. Paparamdam ko sa kanila na there's no change; he's still your father," she added.
In a previous Fast Talk with Boy Abunda interview, AJ said that Kylie and Aljur's children have a good relationship with her own kids, noting that the eldest, Alas, is a responsible kuya.
“Naglalaro po sila lagi and 'yung panganay ni Aljur, si Alas, is very responsible sa mga bunso,” she shared.
Last month, Kylie reacted to AJ's public reveal on the show that she is now a mother of five—three of whom she shares with Aljur.
"Ito lang po comment ko para matapos na: Matagal ko na pong alam pero s'yempre inuna po namin ang kapakanan ng mga bata. Sobrang close sila at 'yun pinaka importante," she wrote without mentioning names.
Padilla added that she's glad the couple no longer has to hide the fact that they have kids together.
"Happy that now 'di na kailangan magtago. Proud of you. Peace all around. Sana matapos na drama," she continued.
Kylie was previously married to Aljur until their separation in 2021. They share two sons: Alas and Axl.
Aljur is now with AJ. Kylie, meanwhile, confirmed last July that she’s currently in a relationship with a non-showbiz guy.
