Philippines' Ahtisa Manalo leads Missosology's latest Miss Universe 2025 hot picks
Philippine bet Ahtisa Manalo landed in the top spot of Missosology's latest hot picks for the 74th Miss Universe pageant.
According to the pageant platform, Manalo "stands out not only for her poise and polish but for a story of persistence, depth, and national pride."
It also highlighted the beauty queen's journey of resilience, noting her previous attempts to win the Miss Universe Philippines crown.
"Her legion of fans not only in her native country but also in Thailand were delighted to see her in fighting mode ever since she set afoot in Bangkok," it added. "She is just in perfect form, showing undeniable aura and palpable confidence."
"A victory by Ahtisa would carry symbolic weight. She will be the country’s 5th titleholder and thus will cement Philippines’ status as pageant superpower," Missosology wrote. It also noted that Manalo is the frontrunner among this year's strong candidates.
Aside from Manalo, Missosology named Colombia's Vanessa Pulgarin as the second pick, followed by Laura Gnjatovic of Croatia, Zashely Alicea of Puerto Rico, and Praveenar Singh of Thailand.
Manalo has always been included in Missosology's hot picks for this year. Before this, she was always part of its Top 10 bets.
The beauty queen from Quezon Province was named the new MUPh queen last May. She is vying for the Philippines' fifth Miss Universe crown.
The 74th Miss Universe competition will see Victoria Theilvig of Denmark crowning her successor on Nov. 21.
