Celebs, social media users react to Miss Universe 2025 results: 'Steve Harvey, labas!"
Pageant season is over as the recently concluded Miss Universe 2025 has finally crowned its queen!
Miss Mexico Fatima Bosch has secured the most coveted title, followed by Miss Thailand Praveenar Singh as 1st runner-up, Miss Venezuela Stephany Abasali as 2nd runner-up, Miss Philippines Ahtisa Manalo as 3rd runner-up, and Miss Cote d'Ivoire Olivia Yacé as 4th runner-up.
But as Filipino sayings put it: the boxing match is still not over! With "#MissUniverse2025" topping the list of trending topics on X, social media users and personalities, mostly seemingly unimpressed with the results, are weighing in on their thoughts.
One of the most vocal personalities is ABS-CBN star comedian Vice Ganda, who was very convinced that Manalo will at least win a top runner-up prize. On X, Vice simply tweeted "Unacceptable" and that the title was stolen from the Philippines, a jab at the alleged flood control scam in the country.
Meanwhile, drag queen Marina Summers took a swipe at the nationality of the pageant's owner Raúl Rocha Cantú as a factor in the titleholder's win. "Ah kasi Latino yung bagong owner? Gets." she wrote.
News5 news anchor Jervi Wrightson, aka KaladKaren, gave thought to the Q&A answers before settling with an "Ok."
Actress Alexa Ilacad is also not having it with the results. "ABSOLUTE FOOLERY," she tweeted.
Meanwhile, Pinoy social media users, known for injecting humor into current events, took to memes to express their frustration and curiosity about the results.
A comedy page suggested the final results may have been read in reverse, while a satire page made a word play on Miss Universe and the alleged rigged results.
Steve Harvey, still widely remembered for mistakenly naming the winner of the 2015 Miss Universe pageant, was trending again on X.
"STEVE HARVEY, WHERE ARE YOU WHEN WE NEEDED YOU THE MOST?!?!!!!" one user tweeted.
"[S]teve [H]arvey, labas!!" comedy page Kabulastugan wrote.
Meanwhile, Camille Prats is once again trending on X, thanks to a running joke where users deliberately introduce the actress into entirely unrelated news.
"NALUTO SI AHTISA MANALO ANYWAYS MAG INGAY PARA SA ATING PABORITONG MARS, CAMILLE PRATS," one user wrote.
