The Wataru Collection is the product of a striking collaboration between LAKAT Sustainable Sneakers and Japanese designer Wataru Sakuma–a meeting of two cultures united by artistry and purpose. Drawing inspiration from Filipino weaving traditions and Japanese minimalism, the collection celebrates natural textures, sculptural silhouettes, and a shared devotion to sustainability. 

Made from handwoven pineapple-cotton textiles and grounded by natural rubber soles, the collection embraces earthy tones and artisanal details. The design options—be it the signature X-strap or the refined laceless profile–embody a balance between form and function. 

At its core, the Wataru Collection is more than a fashion statement; it’s a philosophy. Rooted in sustainability and designed for everyday movement, the line encourages wearers to walk with purpose.
