LOOK: Myrna Esguerra radiates in blush pink floral gown at the 63rd Miss International coronation night
The Philippines' pride, Myrna Esguerra, made a dazzling mark on the international stage as she secured a coveted spot in the Top 20 at the 63rd Miss International pageant held in Tokyo, Japan, on Nov. 27.
The semi-final round included performances in both the swimsuit and evening gown competitions, where Esguerra showcased her poise and undeniable stage presence.
For the evening gown competition, she brought the glamor in a custom piece by Mak Tumang.
She graced the stage in a blush pink sparkling number, which was inspired by the sakura flowers of Palawan. The mermaid cut gown showcased her figure and featured a romantic sweetheart cut bodice. The most unforgettable detail was the cape, which was intricately designed to resemble multiple cherry blossoms in full bloom.
“A vision inspired by the blush of Palawan’s cherry blossoms and the radiant glow of the Perlas ng Silanganan—symbolizing a Philippines that blooms, shines, and rises,” she wrote in her post.
"A celebration of heritage fusion, paying homage to the ethereal Sakura Crown of Miss International—where Filipino identity and Japanese elegance blossom together in one harmonious creation," it continued.
She also donned a sleek blue one-piece swimsuit that highlighted her fit physique. Adding a touch of elegance to the look was a sheer cover-up and a stunning drop-down dangling earrings.
Esguerra is vying for the country's seventh Miss International crown among 80 contestants, all hoping to succeed the reigning queen, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy of Vietnam.
