RCBC launches Google Pay in the Philippines for RCBC credit cards

RCBC announced on Nov. 19 that its Mastercard and Visa credit cardholders can now use Google Pay in the Philippines and overseas—enabling fast, secure, and convenient contactless payments and e-commerce checkouts. 

This launch aligns with the recent introduction of Google Pay to the country, providing RCBC credit cardholders with immediate access to this innovative payment solution.

RCBC is one of the first banks in the Philippines to launch Google Pay for both its Mastercard and Visa credit card customers.

RCBC Credit Cardholders can now add their Mastercard and Visa cards to Google Wallet and pay with Google Pay for faster, safer, and easier contactless payments. With this technology, cardholders can enjoy the convenience by simply tapping their NFC-enabled Android phones at any contactless terminal—whether in the Philippines or anywhere in the world. They can also enjoy a significantly faster checkout process on various e-commerce sites and apps once their payment details are securely saved in Google Pay.

• RCBC Mastercard cardholders will enjoy a free Jollibee Yumburger Solo or Peach Mango Pie for their P1,000 and up single-receipt domestic purchase using Google Pay.

How to add your card 

To begin using Google Pay, RCBC credit cardholders must follow these simple steps:

1. Download Google Wallet from the Play Store.
2. Open the Google Wallet app on the NFC-enabled Android phone.
3. Select “Add a card.”`
4. Enter the RCBC Credit card details.
5. Follow the necessary verification steps to complete the process.
