Philippines' Annabelle McDonell ends Miss Globe 2025 run in top 11
Philippine bet Annabelle McDonnell finished her Miss Globe 2025 journey in the Top 11.
The Pinay beauty fell short of making it to the top 5 during the pageant held in Albania on Oct. 15.
The title eventually went to Thailand's Chayathanus Saradatta, with Albania's Valentina Gegprifti as the first runner-up, United States' Samantha Sarelli as the second runner-up, Belgium's Joliene Pede as third runner-up, and Cuba's Jennifer Chang as fourth runner-up.
During the pageant, McDonnell won the Head-to-Head Challenge where was asked, "If you could teach others one thing about disagreeing respectfully, what would it be?"
"I would definitely teach them that arguments need be or need not mean that you're on the opposite side of the spectrum, but rather arguments whether they agree or disagree just simply mean that we have different means of attaining the same solution. We're not enemies, we're not at odds at each other but we're all working together towards a better society. And difference of opinions is just a reflection of a difference in solution. So having that grace, and giving your friend or neighbor that grace as well to allow discourse and argumentation without any apathy, without any judgment, without any racism in the mix, we can respectfully agree to disagree," she answered.
For her national costume, the Pinay queen showcased her Iligan roots with a Singkil-inspired ensemble.
“My great great grandmother was a proud Maranao woman, and I wanted to honor my heritage through this costume," she said.
McDonnell previously represented the Philippines at the Miss Charm 2023 stage, where she clinched the first runner-up spot.
The Philippines has won the Miss Globe crown twice: Ann Colis in 2015 and Maureen Montagne in 2021.
