Select MUJI stores put up a Mottainai Market where you can find "slightly blemished but sturdy items" and get your hands on them for less.

Included in the product catalog are shelves, wooden beds, cabinets, and other items that are perfect for the bedroom, dining area, living room, or office. Check out the full list here.

Associated with mindful consumption, mottainai "embodies the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle, fostering respect for the objects we use and the environment they come from." According to Japan Travel, it's about "finding beauty in objects that have been repaired or transformed."

The Mottainai Market is available at MUJI branches in Glorietta, SM North EDSA, SM Mall of Asia, and Uptown Mall until Feb. 1.

Note that you must take care of your own transportation for pickup transactions and that MUJI won't provide any strapping, protective coverings, or loading assistance for your purchases.
