DJI Osmo Nano is a mini wearable camera that can start recording when you nod

DJI has launched its smallest action camera yet, the new Osmo Nano, which users can wear on their hats, helmets, and even their pets' collars.

This portable camera, which appears to be the company's answer to the Insta 360 Go Ultra, features a 1/1.3-inch sensor that can shoot up to 4K/120 frames per second to deliver crisp videos.

Size-wise, this shooter comes in at just 52g (nearly a third the weight of an iPhone) and measures approximately 57 x 29 x 28mm. Its magnetic design makes it easily attachable to headbands, caps, and other garments like shirts and jackets.

With its IPX4 splash resistance, this camera's dock is perfect for outdoor adventures and sports, as it can withstand rain, minor splashes, and sweat. The device itself is waterproof for up to 10 meters.

The camera is paired with DJI's Multifunctional Vision Dock, a tiny OLED touchscreen that serves as the display, remote photo trigger, charging station, and file transfer station.

In terms of specs, the Osmo Nano offers up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range for better low-light performance. The brand's 2024-launched Osmo Action 5 Pro, its competitor against GoPro's Hero line, is equipped with the same next-gen sensor.

It also has a 143-degree wide field of view, so users can capture wide landscapes and get more people in a shot.

DJI further promises vibrant videos as the mini camera records in 10-bit, which allows it to capture more colors in detail, and D-Log M mode, which preserves color and brightness information.

Users can let their creative juices flow as they can shoot in different modes with the Osmo Nano. If they're shooting for different platforms, this camera can easily switch between horizontal and vertical shooting. Meanwhile, it also recognizes gestures: Users can simply pat the device or nod their head, and the camera will start shooting.

And to make sure users don't miss any moments, there's a pre-recording setting that automatically saves footage before pressing the record button.

For image stabilization, RockSteady 3.0 reduces camera shake, while HorizonBalancing maintains the horizon level.

The DJI Osmo Mini is now available in the Philippines for P18,390 for the 128GB version, according to the brand's official Shopee and Lazada pages. A 64GB iteration and Vlog Combo (64GB with DJI Mic Mini Transmitter) are also up for grabs for P15,990 and P16,819, respectively.
