Published Sep 05, 2025 2:27 pm

Book prices seem to be climbing higher than ever, which has led many to switch to e-books. But if you're a book lover who still prefers the feel of a physical book in your hands, you'll be excited to hear about this sale.

National Book Store, the country's largest chain for books and office supplies, is holding a "Sulit Reads Fair" at its Robinsons Magnolia branch in Quezon City. Though National Literature Month may be over, the celebration of books is clearly here to stay.

From Sept. 1 to 7, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., bookworms may enjoy several discounts and promos.

Grab five P99 books and get one free, or take advantage of the "Buy 4, Get 1" promo for titles priced at P199 or P299.

You can also snag three books for only P999. We saw plenty of children's books on the shelves, so you can get a head start on your Christmas shopping.

On top of these deals, other items are also discounted by up to 30%.

After the event, bookworms still have something to look forward to: the annual Manila International Book Festival from Sept. 10 to 14 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay.

The MIBF will occupy two floors of the venue, expanding its massive lineup of books and interactive activities for book lovers and fans.

Participating publishers include Anvil, Adarna House, FullyBooked, National Bookstore, Lampara, Komiket Studios, and various university presses, along with international publishers.

Aside from book havens, attendees can also enjoy various events such as panel talks, workshops, book signings, meet-and-greet sessions, and other fun and interactive activities for all ages.
