WATCH: Passion, heartbreak, and safety teased in Philippine Airlines' first-ever 'safetynovela'
Looking for a nice drama to watch during your flight? Philippine Airlines is introducing an interesting take on passenger flight safety in its first-ever "safetynovela."
In its one-minute teaser, the Care That Comes from the Heart "safetynovela" introduced a love triangle between heiress Luisa (Kelley Day), her wealthy betrothed Diego (Jay Gonzaga), and farmer Anton (Khalid Abdullah), whom she truly loves.
"Get ready for an epic love story filled with passion, desire, heartbreak, betrayal, courage, and safety," a narrator said.
Amid the tension caused by a runaway bride, a PAL flight crew appeared on the screen, echoing the passenger safety instructions: "In the event of an emergency landing, remove all sharp objects from your body."
Luisa took the advice to heart, slipping off her shoes and necklace as she joyfully ran away from the ceremony with Anton.
It also stars Robert Seña and Maritess Joaquin as Luisa's parents, who were also seen in the teaser wearing inflated life vests as they go after the runaway couple.
Per the teaser, the safetynovela will be available on your next flight.
This is PAL’s newest in-flight safety video, released eight years after the previous one.
