Actress Gina Rodriguez announces arrival of baby no. 2
And baby makes four.
On Dec. 30, Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez announced on social media that she and her husband, Jo LoCicero, welcomed their second baby earlier in the year.
"2025 gave me Her. Lucille Edith LoCicero. I love you forever baby girl," Rodriguez, 41, wrote on Instagram, along with a carousel of photos showing herself cuddling baby Lucille and kissing her husband.
In mid-July, Rodriguez debuted her baby bump on the red carpet for Netflix's Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 fight at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Speaking to People, Rodriguez revealed she was expecting a baby girl. She also confessed to being terrified of the birthing process, but said she would soldier on just to get her baby "to come into this world."
Rodriguez and her husband met on the set of Jane the Virgin in 2016, where she played the titular character, and he portrayed a stripper. Later on, they both starred in the films Miss Bala and Someone Great.
They wed in 2019 and welcomed their son Charlie Ray in March 2023.
Two months after her son was born, Rodriguez shared with People about her struggle with mom guilt, saying she missed him even if she stepped out for just an hour to work or take a break.
Rodriguez and her husband were more private with their daughter's birth. While they announced her pregnancy with Charlie in a montage posted on Instagram on Rodriguez's 38th birthday, the couple waited a few months to hard launch their little girl on social media.
