‘Becoming Filipino' vlogger Kyle Jennermann reveals wife's miscarriage
Kyle "Kulas" Jennerman, also known as BecomingFilipino, revealed that his wife, Catherine Diquit-Jennerman, suffered a miscarriage.
In his Facebook post, the content creator shared photos of himself and his wife showing her baby bump, as well as a sonogram of their 12-week-old baby.
"Six days ago, we walked into Therine's third ultrasound, expecting to meet our beautiful twelve-week-old baby... we were filled with so much love, so much joy. It was supposed to be the day we shared that we were expecting... but that never happened," he wrote.
"We are beyond devastated. Our baby's heartbeat was gone," he lamented.
Kyle went on to describe the experience as the "hardest, saddest, and most difficult week of our lives."
"Nothing in life prepares you for this. The joy of hearing our baby at eight weeks with that beautiful heartbeat. The love that we shared in planning life together as a family. In just a moment... everything was taken away. It is the most crushing feeling typing this right now.
He shared that they are still grieving and how they felt "numb" for the past week.
"Things trigger intense moments of emotion. We are not okay... but we will be. We will be, because never in our lives have we felt what we felt the past twelve weeks."
Despite the ordeal, Kyle said they are still grateful for having been blessed with getting pregnant.
"We'd like to thank everyone who knew and shared moments of happiness with us. We'd like to thank all the medical professionals who helped us along this journey," he wrote.
"And to 'Baby J,' we love you so much. We love you so so so much. We will always pray for you...we will always love you. Thank you for being a part of our lives," he concluded.
Kyle and Catherine tied the knot in a Filipiniana-themed wedding in July 2024.
He revealed theywere dating in 2017, and got engaged earlier in January 2024. Catherine is a social entrepreneur who's the founder of Likhang Maragondon, an enterprise with products crafted with weaving and bamboo.
