It's another proud Pinoy moment as Dennis Trillo, Jodi Sta. Maria, and Saving Grace won at this year's Asian Academy Creative Awards!

Presented every December as part of the Singapore Media Festival, the award-giving body honored Trillo with the Best Actor in a Leading Role award for his work in the prison drama film Green Bones.

The film, which was released as an official entry of GMA Pictures to the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival, saw the actor portraying a criminal accused of murdering his own sister and niece.

Trillo managed to beat 11 other international actors, including Jacob Elordi for The Narrow Road to the Deep North and Park Bo-gum for When Life Gives You Tangerines.

In an Instagram post, the actor expressed his gratitude for the recognition.

"PANALO ang Pilipinas! panalo ang PILIPINO. Truly grateful for this Asian Academy Creative Awards. Thank you very much," he wrote.
