Ellen Adarna on allowing daughter to go with Derek Ramsay this Christmas
Ellen Adarna shared that her daughter Liana will be spending the holidays with the actress' estranged husband Derek Ramsay.
In her Instagram stories, the actress took the time to answer a question from one of her followers on whether her children will be spending Christmas with their dads, saying that Elias will be staying with her ex-partner John Lloyd Cruz.
"Elias is spending Christmas with John Lloyd and this is the first time ever na not divided 'yung time because before it was half-half. So, yes, Elias is spending Christmas with John Lloyd, but he will be with me after Christmas and New Year's," she said.
"[As for] Liana, I allowed Liana to go with her father's family because naki-usap ang papa ni Derek na if Liana could go, if I could reconsider," she added.
At first, Ellen didn't allow her daugher to go, but later changed her mind due to her father-in-law's health condition.
"He's sick and I don't want to carry that guilt because who knows what's going to happen? I don't want to carry that guilt na I didn't allow Liana to spend time with her grandfather," she said.
"Can I sleep peacefully at night if something happens to him and I didn't allow her? So there," she added.
Ellen and Derek have been estranged for the past few months now and have been living in separate homes. The issue of their marital woes exploded when Ellen shared "receipts" on social media of Derek's alleged cheating.
She has also shared several audio recordings of him allegedly cursing at her. She did this as she didn't want to enable the abusive behavior.
"And the reason I'm exposing this is simple. behavior like this—cheating, psychological abuse, disrespect toward women should never be tolerated. When we stay silent, we enable it," she wrote.
"Women deserve safety, honesty, and respect, and calling this out is how we break the pattern and demand accountability," she added.
The pair tied the knot in November 2021 in Bagac, Bataan, and got married again in a Peruvian despacho ceremony led by a local shaman during their first anniversary. They welcomed their first baby, Lily, in October 2024.
On the other hand, Ellen has maintained a good relationshio with John Lloyd. They recently reunited to support Elias' piano recital.
