Ellen Adarna posts 'receipts' of Derek Ramsay allegedly cursing at her, shares why she's speaking up
Ellen Adarna has shared several audio recordings of estranged husband Derek Ramsay allegedly cursing at her and explained why she felt the need to publicize the clips.
In her Instagram stories, the actress shared a few clips of a man's voice, supposedly Ramsay's, insulting and cursing at her.
In one clip, dated June 19, 2024, the man can be heard saying, "Napakaduwag mo. Puro ka lang salita. 'Yan ang problema sa 'yo. Go avoid every f**king conflict in life."
Adarna noted that the clip was recorded when she was six months pregnant with the couple's one-year-old daughter.
Another recording, which was over a minute long, revealed the man saying, "Ang problema sa 'yo, everything is an object that can be replaced."
Adarna can be heard calmly arguing back.
"I wish you can look at yourself in the mirror and see how you are. You're too cool. You're the sh*t. P*ta, puro ka paninira sa 'kin. Grabe, ang sarap ng pakiramdam. Ang taong mahal mo, walang masabing maganda tungkol sa 'yo," the man continued.
Referring to the person they were arguing about, the man added, "Pareho pala kami. Bakit mo 'ko pinakasalan? P***ngina."
Posting another story, Adarna made a general appeal to keep arguments in relationships respectful.
"Walang murahan, walang sigawan. Normal lang ang conflict, it takes two to tango, but cursing and shouting should never be part of it," she wrote.
'When we stay silent, we enable it'
In subsequent IG stories, Adarna explained why she felt the need to share the recordings on social media: She didn't want to enable the abusive behavior.
"And the reason I'm exposing this is simple. behavior like this—cheating, psychological abuse, disrespect toward women should never be tolerated. When we stay silent, we enable it," she wrote.
"Women deserve safety, honesty, and respect, and calling this out is how we break the pattern and demand accountability," she added.
Adarna shared with her followers that she had been in touch with Ramsay's ex-girlfriends regarding her recent experiences.
"We agreed na ako nalang ang spokesperson since I'm the fearless one enough to speak. They've actually endured worse than I have, and they gave me their full blessing to raise the banner for all of us. And told them, 'Don't worry, I got you girls,'" she wrote.
Adarna and Ramsay have been heavily in the news lately due to their marital woes, with Adarna sharing "receipts" on social media of Ramsay's alleged cheating.
Before this, the two became the subject of breakup speculations for months. They started when eagle-eyed social media users noticed that they haven't been posting photos of them together online. The split rumors were fueled when Ellen dropped "Ramsay" from her Instagram profile in October.
The pair tied the knot in November 2021 in Bagac, Bataan, and got married again in a Peruvian despacho ceremony led by a local shaman during their first anniversary. They welcomed their first baby, Lily, in October 2024.
Derek has yet to publicly address Ellen’s allegations as of writing.
