Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo to bring 'Wicked' tour to Singapore, the only Asia stop
Fans across Asia are in luck! Singapore has been named the exclusive Asian stop for the highly anticipated "Wicked: For Good World Tour."
Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo will bring their roles as Glinda and Elphaba to the Lion City on Nov. 13 as part of the Wicked: For Good global tour. Joining them are Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and director Jon M. Chu.
The cast will make a special appearance at Universal Studios Singapore, where guests can have the exclusive opportunity to witness the Wicked cast walk the "yellow carpet" and experience the magic up close.
To join, tickets are available for a one-day pass, priced at S$93 (approximately P4,200) for adults and S$72 (around P3,200) for children aged four to 12. Note that the ticket does not include access to the movie screening in USS.
The tour will kick off in São Paulo on Nov. 4, followed by Paris on Nov. 7 and London on Nov. 10.
After Singapore, the cast will head to New York on Nov. 17.
While the "Wicked: For Good World Tour" isn't making a stop in the Philippines, they gave Pinoys a chance to join a contest wherein they could perform their own rendition of the song For Good and win exciting prizes, including a chance to record and star in the For Good music video, win an all expenses paid trip to Singapore, and meet the stars of the film!
The contest ended last Oct. 5, and the winners will be announced on Oct. 13 via Universal Pictures PH's official social media accounts. The winners will be selected by Chu, Erivo, and Grande.
Wicked: For Good serves as the sequel and conclusion to 2024’s Wicked, which grossed $750 million worldwide and received 10 Academy Award nominations. (with reports from Danica Pascual)
