Eraserheads’ Electric Fun Music Festival rescheduled to 2026

OPM band Eraserheads' Electric Fun Music Festival has been postponed again to 2026.

The organizer announced on its social media pages that the music festival will be moved to the first quarter of next year.

"After extensive deliberation and careful monitoring of the current local landscape, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the upcoming edition of EFMF," they wrote in their statement.

They added that the decision was made "in light of the increasingly complex and unpredictable challenges," which include "political instability, economic uncertainty, and growing climate-related concerns."

"While we had previously revised our timeline to October 18, these unforeseen developments have had a direct impact on our operational capacity and planning efforts. We remain committed to delivering an event that reflects the high standards and transformative experience EFMF has always stood for—and we believe postponing is the most responsible path forward at this time," they explained.

They also assured that full refunds will be given to all ticketholders. Instructions regarding the refund process have yet to be announced on their official channels.

"As we continue to evaluate the best path forward, our team is working diligently behind the scenes to ensure that when EFMF does return, it will be stronger, more inclusive, and more impactful than ever," the organizer said.

In April, the music festival was rescheduled to Oct. 18 from its May 31 original date.

The event will feature the band’s timeless hits as well as performances from rising and seasoned artists. The lineup includes OPM veterans Basti Artadi, Dong Abay Music Organization, Imago, Moonstar88, and The Itchyworms.

Other artists who will grace the stage are Blaster, Carousel Casualties, Alyson, Party Pace, Pinkmen, and Sa Vie.

Eraserheads, composed of Ely Buendia, Marcus Adoro, Raimund Marasigan, and Buddy Zabala, disbanded in 2002. They teased about a possible reunion in October 2021 when Buendia said they would make a comeback if former Vice President Leni Robredo ran for president. He later backtracked and said it was a "half-serious" joke when Robredo formalized her bid.

They eventually reunited and performed at a sold-out SMDC Festival Grounds venue in 2022. They also held a "Huling El Bimbo" world tour, which took them to the USA, Canada, Singapore, Dubai, Doha, Australia, and New Zealand.
