Husband breaks silence amid divorce from woman in viral Coldplay kiss cam video
The husband of the HR chief seen in the viral kiss cam video with Astronomer's former CEO Andy Byron during a Coldplay show has spoken out amid their divorce.
A spokesperson for Andrew Cabot, CEO of Privateer Rum, told PEOPLE Magazine that he and his wife, Kristin Cabot, were "privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert."
"Their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening," she told the outlet. "Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued."
"No further public comment will be made," she added.
Kristin's representative didn't respond to requests for comment, according to the media outlet.
This came after NBC News reported that Kristin filed for divorce from her husband in August. Court documents showed that there will be a scheduling conference in the family division of New Hampshire's 10th Circuit Court on Nov. 26.
Viral clips of Coldplay's July 16 concert in Boston showed the tech CEO hugging Kristin from behind, sparking affair rumors.
Seeing them on the big screen, frontman Chris Martin said, "Oh, look at these two."
Realizing that they're in the spotlight, Kristin covered her face and turned her back.
"Come on, you ok?" Martin said as Byron, already out of the camera's sight, sat on the ground. "Uh oh, what? Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy."
Byron and Kristin have both left their posts at Astronomer after the scandal.
