Woman in Coldplay kiss cam scandal files for divorce from husband
The HR executive who was seen in a viral kiss cam video with Astronomer's former CEO Andy Byron during a Coldplay show has filed for divorce from her husband.
NBC News reported that Kristin Cabot filed the petition on Aug. 13 in Portsmouth in New Hampshire. The process remains ongoing.
Court documents showed that there will be a scheduling conference in the family division of New Hampshire's 10th Circuit Court on Nov. 26.
Lawyers for Cabot and her husband didn't respond to requests for comment, according to the media outlet.
Viral clips of Coldplay's July 16 concert in Boston showed Byron hugging Cabot from behind, sparking affair rumors.
Seeing them on the big screen, frontman Chris Martin said, "Oh, look at these two."
Realizing that they're in the spotlight, Cabot covered her face and turned her back.
"Come on, you ok?" Martin said as Byron, already out of the camera's sight, sat on the ground. "Uh oh, what? Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy."
The incident prompted Byron to resign from his post days later, and Cabot followed suit.
Astronomer was not a widely recognized company outside of its niche in data management.
Cabot said she joined Astronomer in November 2024, according to her LinkedIn profile, which disappeared at the height of the issue.
"I'm a passionate people leader known for building award-winning cultures from the ground up for fast-growing startups and multi-national corporations," her profile read.
Byron, whose LinkedIn profile couldn't be found either at the time, praised Cabot for her over 20 years of experience, saying her "exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory."
Days after the viral kiss cam, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin jokingly warned fans that they're filming their shows. He was even asking pairs if they were officially together.
