Brunei’s Prince Mateen, Princess Anisha announce pregnancy
Brunei's Prince Abdul Mateen and Princess Anisha Rosnah Isa Kalebic are expecting their first child!
The royal couple announced they are expecting, sharing a black-and-white photo of them holding hands as Anisha cradles her belly on Tuesday, Oct. 15 (Philippine time).
"And then there were 3," Mateen wrote in his caption.
Their friends and followers, including Crazy Rich Asian star Henry Golding. expressed their well-wishes in the post's comments section.
"Congrats, you two," Golding wrote.
"Big congratulations," Thai actress-host Sonya Sigha commented.
Mateen is the 10th child of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, the world's longest-reigning monarch. Meanwhile, Anisha is the granddaughter of one of the key advisers of Mateen's father. She is part of a prominent family in Brunei and has her own fashion brand and tourism business.
Their engagement was announced in October 2023, reportedly after a few years of dating.
The couple had a 10-day royal wedding in January 2024, which was attended by political leaders, including President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Marcos.
