Claudine Barretto grateful to siblings for caring for mom Inday: 'In grief we are all united'
Claudine Barretto expressed appreciation to her siblings after the passing of their mom, Inday, saying that they "choose peace over everything."
The actress took to her Facebook page to thank her siblings for taking care of their mom.
"To my Brother & all my sisters, thank you," the actress began in her Facebook post on early Friday morning, Jan. 30.
"Magulo man po kami, but in grief we are all united. We all did our part: JJ, Michie, Gia, G, Marjorie and all the apos pati apo sa tuhod. Pantay pantay inalagaan ang mommy," she continued. "We choose peace over everything. We don't need flowers. Your prayers all mean the world to each & everyone of us. Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat."
"Goodbye, mom. We will be ok, how can we not? WE ARE INDAY BARRETTO's children. The strongest, most loving mother anyone could ask for," she concluded.
Marjorie’s children, Claudia and Dani, were among the grandchildren paying tribute to Inday on Instagram, sharing throwback photos in her honor.
Dani also shared a photo of her grandparents, Inday and Miguel, who passed away in October 2019.
"Together again," she wrote.
Actor Pocholo Barretto, Inday’s grandson, also posted videos of his time with her and his cousins—a tribute later reshared by Marjorie on her Instagram Stories.
Inday's son, Joaquin, confirmed her passing on Thursday evening, Jan. 29, by posting an image of a candle against a black backdrop, writing, "Rest in peace, Mom. I love you."
He first shared about Inday's health condition on Jan. 7. Followed by an update on Jan. 27 stating she was being moved to the ICU because the situation was "not good."
The family has not disclosed the cause of death as of writing.
Inday is survived by six of the seven children she shared with her late husband, Miguel—Michelle, Joaquin, Gia, Gretchen, Marjorie, and Claudine. Their eldest child, Mito, passed away earlier on Sept. 23, 2025.
