Two cops file sexual assault, acts of lasciviousness complaints against Marikina Rep. Marcy Teodoro
Two female police officers have filed complaint-affidavits against Marikina 1st District Rep. Marcy Teodoro for alleged rape by sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness before the Department of Justice.
According to a DOJ statement, the complainants had been assigned as Teodoro's close-in security at different times. Their identities have been withheld to protect their privacy and security.
One complainant accused the former Marikina mayor of committing acts of lasciviousness, which is punishable under the Revised Penal Code, during the early period of her assignment.
On the other hand, the other police officer was said to have been a close-in security for Teodoro's wife, incumbent Marikina Mayor Maan Teodoro, before she was reassigned to the 1st District Representative. She accused him of rape by sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness.
"In line with Department Circular No. 20 (2023), the complaints will undergo case build-up and legal evaluation to determine sufficiency of evidence before any preliminary investigation. This ensures that any action, if warranted, will rest on a complete and substantiated record," the DOJ's statement read.
Teodoro has denied the allegations, saying that the accusations are aimed to ruin his reputation.
"Mukhang politically motivated attack laban sa akin. May mga trumatrabahong pwersa. Sobra na at sunod-sunod ang mga atake sa akin nakakaawa na ['ko]," he said in a statement.
He added that he hasn't received the formal complaint against him and doesn't know the full details yet.
"Ang isang alegasyon ay hindi maituturing ebidensya," he said.
Teodoro served as Marikina mayor from 2016 to 2025 and as 1st District Rep. previously from 2007 to 2016.
