Puerto Rico to host 75th Miss Universe in 2026
The Miss Universe Organization has officially announced that the 75th edition of the pageant competition will be held in Puerto Rico in November 2026.
The announcement was made on the pageant’s official Facebook page on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
“Puerto Rico will host the 75th Anniversary of the Miss Universe Competition in November 2026!” the MUO wrote, promising fans around the world that they can look forward to a grand celebration highlighting culture, music, and more.
“An entire year of celebrations, culture, music, and joy on the Island of Enchantment,” it continued.
The prestigious pageant will be held at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, the largest indoor entertainment and sports arena in Puerto Rico since its opening in 2004.
This marks the fourth time that Puerto Rico will host the Miss Universe pageant after having previously hosted the competition in 1972, 2001, and 2002.
More than 135 countries and territories are expected to compete in the 75th edition of the beauty pageant, which will make the largest Miss Universe pageant in history.
Among the beauty queens that will compete is the Philippines’ very own Ahtisa Manalo, who aims to inherit the crown from reigning Miss Universe, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig of Denmark and become the fifth Filipina to win the title.
Meanwhile, the 74th Miss Universe pageant is set to take place in Thailand on Nov. 21.
