Bar examinees to be exempted from number coding scheme

The Metro Manila Development Authority, meanwhile, said all Bar examinees are exempted from the number coding scheme to ensure that they're able to arrive at their respective venues without undue delay.

"Hence, bar examinees are advised to prominently display a copy of their number coding exemption in the middle of the vehicle’s rear windshield for proper identification," the MMDA said.

"Failure to prominently display the exemption notice shall be deemed a waiver of the number coding exemption," it added.

Day 1 of the Bar exams will cover Political and Public International Law (15%) and Mercantile and Taxation Laws (20%); Day 2 will cover Civil Law (20%) and Labor Law (10%) and Social Legislation; Day 3 will cover Criminal Law (10%) and Remedial Law, Legal Ethics, & Legal Forms (25%).

There will be a total of 20 essay questions per exam, with only a single question per number. Answers will be graded with a total of zero to 100%, or 5% per question.

The 2024 Bar exams welcomed 3,962 new Filipino lawyers as the results were released last Dec. 13, 2024. It had a 37.84% passing rate, with Kyle Christian Tutor of the University of the Philippines topping the Bar.
