Daniel Padilla talks about rumored romance with Kaila Estrada
Daniel Padilla answered whether he's taken amid his rumored romance with Incognito co-star Kaila Estrada.
In his recent interview on TFC's magazine show, Are You G?, Padilla was asked whether he's already in a relationship. He refused to directly answer the question and said, "Huwag na nating i-pressure 'yung sarili natin."
"Wag na nating ilagay sa ganun, i-showbiz pa 'yun pero you get my point. Lalabas at lalabas, pero ayoko lang na may naghihintay na alam mo 'yun. Hayaan na nating mangyari ang mga mangyayari," he said.
“Huwag niyo na muna kaming kulitin, just let it be. Hayaan na lang nating mangyari ang mga bagay. And again, ayoko siyang maging showbiz eh, 'di ba? Well 'di pa rin naman maiiwasan, pero may choice pa rin naman ako, 'di ba?” he added.
When asked by showbiz reporter MJ Felipe if he's happy, Padilla answered by reflecting on his recent achievement. Earlier this month, the actor took home the Outstanding Asian Star Award at the Seoul International Drama Awards.
“Paano ako hindi magiging masaya eh galing lang kami sa isang masayang concert, andito ako ngayon sa Korea with my family, my friends, celebrating life, getting an award, given to me by the people who love me 'di ba? So anong rason para maging malungkot?” he replied.
Last month, talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz said in his vlog that a source revealed that Padilla and Estrada are in a relationship.
Estrada has yet to comment on dating rumors. Meanwhile, his father, John Estrada, commented on the issue, saying, "It’s not my story to tell."
"Kaila is an adult, and aside from that, I trust her judgment and her smarts. At wala syang ginagawang masama. I’m very confident that whatever she decides to do in her life, pinag-isipan na nya lahat 'yan," he said at the time.
“Also, it’s not my story to tell. So, I guess, she will answer all the questions in her own time. All I do is to let her know and feel that she will always have my support and that I trust her and I will always be here for her and her siblings," he added.
Padilla came from an 11-year relationship with former love team Kathryn Bernardo.
He starred in the TV series Incognito with Estrada, alongside Ian Veneracion, Maris Racal, Baron Geisler, Anthony Jennings, and Richard Gutierrez.
