TRENDING: Michelle Dee, Catriona Gray, and other PH beauty queens react to Miss Universe 2025 results
Pinoy beauty queens joined social media users in sharing their reactions to the just-concluded Miss Universe 2025 pageant.
Mexico's Fatima Bosch emerged as this year's winner, followed by Thailand's Praveenar Singh as first runner-up, Venezuela's Stephany Abasali as second runner-up, Philippines' Ahtisa Manalo as third runner-up, and Cote d'Ivoire's Olivia Yacé as fourth runner-up.
As some of the country's former Miss Universes, placers, and other titleholders congratulated our own bet for her stunning performance at the competition, there were also some who questioned the results.
Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey, who won Miss Universe in 2015, has nothing but praise for Manalo.
"Congratulations Ahtisa!! What an inspirational journey you've had and this is just the beginning. Thank you for carrying the Philippines with so much beauty, heart, and purpose," she wrote in an Instagram story.
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray said she's proud of Manalo in an IG story. "We all saw how you left your heart on that stage. Our queen @ahtisa," she wrote.
She, however, questioned the Q&A portion's seeming lack of impact on the competition in her IG channel after the announcement of winners.
Winwyn Marquez, Reina Hispanoamericana 2017, was also surprised when the Miss Universe 2025 results came in.
She even joked about having broken plates while cleaning her home during the contest. "Wait, naglilinis lang ako ng mga nabasag ko na mga plato. Yoko na," she wrote in a Facebook post.
Miss Universe 2023 Top 10 finisher Michelle Marquez Dee expressed her disbelief at the results of this year's tilt.
She tweeted "speechless" with the hashtag #MissUniverse2025, followed with a post that read "[I'm] so confused."
She then wrote in another tweet, "tara shot puno" with the same hashtag along with an accompanying GIF.
Miss World 1993 second runner-up Ruffa Gutierrez also said the Miss U results left her "shocked."
"WHAT?????" she tweeted.
In a follow-up post, she wrote, "The two strongest contenders, in my opinion, ended up placing the lowest at Miss Universe 2025. They deserve a higher placement," referring to Manalo and Yacé.
She then sent some love to Manalo, the Miss Universe Philippines organization, and the whole team. "Your dedication, grace, and hard work were evident," she said. "Ahtisa, you remain a queen in our hearts. Continue to shine and conquer the universe!"
The Miss Universe 2025 coronation night was held on Nov. 21 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Thailand. Check out the highlights of the show here.
