Up to four cyclones may enter PH in October—PAGASA
At least two—and possibly up to four—tropical cyclones are expected to enter the country in October, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
According to their Public Weather Forecast issued on Sept. 28, weather specialist Obet Badrina warned that the country may experience multiple storms next month.
"Papunta na nga tayo sa buwan ng Oktubre at ang inaasahan po natin na dami ng mga bagyo na maaaring mabuo or papasok ng Philippine Area of Responsibility, mga dalawa hanggang apat po na bagyo.
For now, however, the Philippines will see fair weather from Sunday to Tuesday. However, thunderstorms may still be a possibility, especially in the Eastern Visayas, Caraga Region, and Bicol Region due to easterlies.
Meanwhile, Wednesday and Thursday will have a higher chance of experiencing cloudy days with rain in the Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, and Cagayan Valley Region.
The country recently faced the wrath of Severe Tropical Storm Opong, which caused the deaths of at least 10 people and affected thousands of families in different parts of the Philippines due to flash floods and storm surges.
Prior to this, the country also suffered from heavy rains and floods brought about by Super Typhoon Nando.
