Carlos Yulo wins bronze at the men's floor exercise at 2025 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships
Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo secured the bronze medal in the men’s floor exercise final at the 53rd Artistic Gymnastics World Championships on Friday.
Yulo, celebrated as the "Golden Boy" for his historic double-gold win at the Paris Olympics, posted a score of 14.533. His routine featured a high 5.9 difficulty and earned an 8.566 execution score.
The Filipino athlete was edged out by a duo from Great Britain: Jake Jarman claimed the gold with a score of 14.866, while Luke Whitehouse took the silver with 14.666.
The International Gymnastics Federation described Yulo's execution as showcasing "control and precision," highlighting elements like the "Stuck double layout full out."
Yulo has a chance to bring home another medal. He will compete in the vault finals on Saturday, an event he dominated in the qualifiers with a top score of 14.750.
He previously won gold in the floor exercise at the 2019 World Championships and took the vault title in the 2021 edition.
