Documentary on Ahtisa Manalo's Miss Universe journey to premiere on Oct. 26
A documentary about Ahtisa Manalo's Miss Universe 2025 journey is set to be released this October.
The beauty queen delighted fans with the news during her send-off event on Thursday. According to her, the documentary, produced by Empire Philippines, will be released on its YouTube channel on Oct. 26.
"This is a documentary that we’re putting out of the whole process of how we reach to get the headshot, of how we pick our national costume, how we pick the gowns," Ahtisa explained.
"So dito, meron kayong backstage access kayo kung paano nangyari everything in my preparation," she added.
During the event, she also shared how she has been preparing ahead of the coronation night on Nov. 21 in Thailand.
"All the working out and all the preparations, I made sure that I'm doing it here. Because when we get there, our schedules are going to be grueling. There's no time anymore to work out. There's no time to prepare when you're there. I will just worry about presenting myself the best and being present in activities," Manalo said.
"I tried boxing, I was doing Pilates, I was doing yoga, I was doing weight-training. I was just making sure that I was moving a lot. An active body is a different body," she added.
She emphasized the importance of eating whole foods for her nutrition, saying, "I also make sure to not worry too much about what I eat in a sense that I can't deprive myself and make myself unhappy because I'm trying to force myself to eat certain kinds of things. But of course, just be mindful of what you're eating, making sure that I'm fueling myself."
When asked what it is that will make her shine on the international stage, she highlighted her perseverance in chasing her dreams.
"I started doing pageants at 10 years old. Not a lot of girls have started doing pageants at 10 years old. And I did that to fund my own education. I think from the very beginning, I have dreams that I've achieved because of my grit and being relentless," she said.
"So, I think an overall package of being palaban, relentless, and making sure that I don't give up on a dream just because it seems too far-fetched—I think that's what makes me different from everyone else," she continued.
The 74th Miss Universe pageant will see Victoria Theilvig of Denmark crowning her successor at the end of the event.
