According to PEOPLE Magazine, the vessel appears to be the Bliss ship by the Norwegian Cruise Line. Citing Cruisemapper, the media outlet reported it was on a round-trip Alaskan cruise off the coast of Canada on Sept. 19, the day of the incident.

The said ship features a double loop drop slide. With a minimum height requirement of 40 inches and a weight requirement between 120 and 300, the waterslide called known as Ocean Loops is situated 11 feet off the side of the ship and 159 feet above the ocean. "Thrill seekers stand on a trap door before the floor falls away, plunging riders through the loops and into a splash pool," per PEOPLE Magazine.

A TikTok user said there's an emergency hatch that can be opened to help a person get off the slide safely in case of emergencies like such.

The cruise line has yet to comment on what happened.
