LOOK: Joy Barcoma serves sustainable fashion in her Miss Earth 2025 national costume
Philippine bet Joy Barcoma showcased sustainable fashion for her Miss Earth 2025 national costume.
The Bacoor City beauty queen took to Instagram to share her outfit on Nov. 3, writing that it's a "tribute to timeless Filipino elegance and sustainability."
"The Mascota National Costume reimagines heritage through innovation, as it is crafted entirely from recycled materials," she wrote. A mascota is a traditional attire in Zamboanga.
"Each intricate detail reflects the grace and resilience of the Filipina, and the commitment to turn creativity into climate action."
Joy's gown, designed by Patrick Isorena, features a cream-colored blouse with long, bell sleeves. Its hems are covered in lace and colorful beads.
Her skirt adds more pops of color, with bright blue, yellow, red, and cyan panels. On top of each hue are gold details that add a touch of elegance to the whole look.
And completing the look is a golden headpiece with beading that matches her top.
"This gown is more than fashion. It’s a statement that sustainability can be elegant, and tradition can evolve beautifully toward a greener future," Joy said.
The country's Miss Earth representative also shared a glimpse of her photoshoot at Luneta Park, where she twirled in her mascota gown.
