LOOK: OFW Lounge to open in NAIA Terminal 1
Overseas Filipino Workers now have an improved space at NAIA Terminal 1 while waiting for their flights.
"To our modern-day heroes, we have built you something even better," NAIA wrote on Facebook.
The relocated OFW Lounge has undergone a significant upgrade, now boasting a more spacious and modern aesthetic. The new area provides a relaxing retreat, designed with a clean white and wood motif, abundant natural light, plush leather seating, and numerous tables for comfort and convenience.
According to NAIA, the lounge will also serve free meals and drinks for its OFW guests.
It also has charging stations, a locker area for their luggage, and free WiFi access.
"Just like the OFW Lounge at Terminal 3 that we built before taking over NAIA operations, this new space is part of our continued effort to honor and serve our Bagong Bayani. Because you deserve nothing less," NAIA wrote.
Last year, the OFW Lounge opened in Terminal 3. It can accommodate 200 individuals in one flight.
The Philippine STAR reported that more OFW lounges will be established in international airports in Clark, Pampanga, Mactan-Cebu, and Davao.
