ABS-CBN shows to air on ALLTV channel starting Jan. 2
Starting Jan. 2, 2026, ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Channel can be viewed on ALLTV.
"Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc. (AMBS), which owns and operates ALLTV, has obtained a license from ABS-CBN to air the Kapamilya Channel on ALLTV effective 2 January 2026," ABS-CBN wrote in its Dec. 17 statement.
Some Kapamilya shows audience can watch are FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Rojo, What Lies Beneath, It’s Showtime, ASAP, and TV Patrol, among others.
It noted that Prime ABS-CBN programs will still be aired on A2Z, while It’s Showtime and Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0 will continue to air on GMA.
This came after TV5 decided to terminate its Content Agreement with the network, effective on Jan. 2.
ABS-CBN said that it has already settled its obligations with TV5/Mediaquest in line with agreements between the parties.
"We thank Mr. Manny V. Pangilinan and TV5 for providing a home for some ABS-CBN programs since 2021," it said.
In case you missed it, on Dec. 3, media outlet Bilyonaryo, citing documents it obtained, reported that ABS-CBN had a "ploy to delay" payments that "choked off nearly P1 billion in cash needed for day-to-day operations."
The media giant stressed that it acknowledges its obligations to the Kapatid network and is “doing everything we can to address these payments.” These include seeking more time to resolve problems as they work urgently within the 30-day period they were given. It, however, clarified that "amounts and manner of the claims" in circulating reports "remain disputed."
“While this timeline is challenging given our current circumstances, we are committed to finding a way to fulfill our obligations—not only to TV5 but to all our partners and stakeholders. We remain open to fair and reasonable solutions that recognize the extraordinary circumstances our company has faced,” it said.
“There is no truth to any insinuation that ABS-CBN willfully delayed payment. Such characterizations fail to acknowledge the severe financial constraints imposed on us through circumstances beyond our control,” it added.
For their part. TV5 said that ABS-CBN's unpaid obligation has affected the former's "ability to settle its own obligations."
"Despite our repeated appeals, ABS-CBN has failed to pay what is due. Neither have they given assurances, nor indicated, that they can or will," TV5 claimed.
The media network noted that it values its content agreement with ABS-CBN and understands the latter's financial difficulties as they are part of the same industry.
Meanwhile, Villar-owned AMBS and ABS-CBN first partnered in 2024, with AMBS airing selected ABS-CBN programs, including classic Kapamilya shows under the Jeepney TV brand, as well as It’s Showtime and TV Patrol.
AMBS' broadcast frequency was previously held by ABS-CBN until it officially lost its franchise renewal in 2020.
