The Miss Universe Organization announced that its 74th edition is its most-viewed pageant in history, with a total of 2.6 billion views.

According to a video posted on MUO's social media, its Nov. 21 final competition in Bangkok raked in 1.7 billion views on Instagram, 817 million on Facebook, 87 million on TikTok, and 15 million on YouTube.

It also shared that it has 30.5 million followers across all platforms.

In a statement, Miss Universe thanked all its supporters. "From millions of screens across every continent, your love, your passion, and your unstoppable support turned this edition into the most viewed Miss Universe ever across all digital platforms," it said.

"To our fans around the world: thank you. Thank you for watching, sharing, celebrating, and believing in the power of this community. You made history with us."

Mexico's Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe 2025, with Thailand's Praveenar Singh as first runner-up, Venezuela's Stephany Abasali as second runner-up, the Philippines' Ahtisa Manalo as third runner-up, and Côte d'Ivoire's Olivia Yacé as fourth runner-up.

This year's edition has been plagued by drama and controversies since pre-pageant activities, when Bosch was reportedly involved in a viral confrontation with Miss Universe Thailand national director Nawat Itsaragrisil. The latter allegedly reprimanded the beauty queen for not following through with an obligation of the competition, even calling her "dumb." This led to Bosch walking out with other Miss Universe candidates.

Nawat has since apologized for his actions.

Accusations of rigging also made the rounds after a resigned Miss Universe judge claimed that Mexico's win was already decided, as Rocha has business links with Bosch's father.

Rocha has addressed these claims.

Recently, Côte d'Ivoire's Olivia Yacé gave up the Miss Universe Oceania and Africa crown to stay true to her values.

Estonia's Brigitta Schaback also renounced her title, sharing that her values and work ethic do not align with those of Miss Universe Estonia national director, Natalie Korneitsik.
