Woman who gave birth says she didn't even know she was pregnant
A woman who gave birth after dealing with back pain claimed she had no idea she was pregnant.
In an interview with local news outlet WWBT, Becca Johnson of Virginia recalled that she was rushed to the emergency room when she woke up with severe pain in her lower back that made even sitting difficult for her. "My back [was] killing me," she said.
"I’m telling [the hospital staff] it’s my back, but it’s now radiating to my front. They're thinking kidney stones or cysts," she shared.
When she went to the toilet, Johnson told a nurse that she felt something between her legs. It was when the latter looked over and said, "That's a head."
"My husband’s face just goes blank. I’m just stunned," she said, noting that it left her speechless even though she's "not a speechless person."
She ended up welcoming her baby girl, Carlee Evangeline, on a stretcher.
Johnson said she didn't feel any signs of pregnancy then and noted that she had fertility issues due to polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS, which is a condition that affects one's hormones. According to Cleveland Clinic, it causes irregular menstrual periods, excess hair growth, acne, and infertility.
She's now a mother of three.
