Man arrested after stealing Beyoncé's unreleased music and tour plans from choreographer’s car
A man has been arrested two months after stealing Beyoncé's unreleased music and tour plans from her choreographer's car.
The thief, named Kelvin Evans, was arrested on Sept. 16 in Hapeville, Georgia, for allegedly breaking into a parked Jeep Wagoneer on July 8 to steal several items, including a flash drive that contains Beyoncé's unreleased music and future concert set lists, among others, from Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue, according to the jail records obtained by PEOPLE Magazine.
"The hard drives contained watermarked music, some unreleased music, footage plans for the show, and past and future set list," the police report obtained by PEOPLE read.
The incident happened ahead of the pop star's Cowboy Carter show in Atlanta. Grant and Blue, who rented the SUV, also said that other items, like clothing, designer sunglasses, two suitcases, laptops, and a pair of AirPods Max headphones, were also stolen from the car.
According to a CNN report, investigators said the hard drives and other items have not been recovered.
Local outlet Atlanta News First reported that Evans rented a 2025 Hyundai Elantra with Georgia plates for the crime. He allegedly told his niece that he'll be using the car for five minutes, but went back 30 minutes later, saying he went to a friend’s house.
The car had four black bags inside when Evans returned. He left a black bag in the trunk before leaving on his bicycle, per the report.
Evans is detailed in the Fulton County Jail on a $20,000 (P1.1 million) bond, according to jail records. He reportedly has an arrest record from 2002. He was arrested for alleged armed robbery, aggravated assault, and entering an automobile with the intent to commit theft.
