Tarantadong Kalbo’s wife gives update on artist's health
Local artist and activist Kevin Raymundo, widely known as Tarantadong Kalbo, is now recovering after being diagnosed with a Transient Ischemic Attack.
In a Facebook post, Raymundo's wife shared one of his new artworks, which the artist described as his "proof of life."
She thanked all the supporters and those who extended help. She also gave an update on the artist’s condition, saying that he will be transferred to the Philippine Heart Center for his Angiogram and Cardiac MRI tests.
“He is currently resting and recovering and will be transferred to The Philippine Heart Center next week for his Angiogram & Cardiac MRI, results of which would determine if he will undergo Angioplasty or Bypass,” Raymundo’s wife wrote.
"Mahirap pong magbasa ng mga messages sa page, pero kailangan i-sift through just in case may magpapaabot pa ng tulong. Iniisip ko na lang na kinaya ito ng asawa ko all this time, so kakayanin ko para sa kanya. Please continue to pray for my husband. Thank you. Dedma sa bashers," she continued.
Raymundo’s followers flooded the comments with unending support and wishful prayers for the artist’s recovery.
In an earlier post, Raymundo revealed his current health condition and highlighted 'Tumindig Para kay TK,' a call for support with his medical expenses.
He is known for his artworks tackling societal, political, and cultural issues. His most notable works include "Tumindig," which symbolizes resistance and encourages speaking up against injustices. It won an international Good Design Award in 2022.
