Magnitude 6.9 earthquake strikes Cebu
A magnitude 6.9 earthquake hit Cebu, according to PHIVOLCS.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake jolted the area on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 9:59 p.m.
It was at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The reported intensities include Intensity III in San Fernando, Cebu, Intensity II in Lang, Northern Samar, as well as Intensity VI in Cebu City and Villa, Leyte.
Aftershocks are expected.
