Imee Marcos leaves Senate group chat after Ping Lacson callout
Senator Imee Marcos fired back at Senate President Pro Tempore Ping Lacson, who had earlier urged her to attend hearings and read group chats about anomalous flood control projects after she expressed confusion.
"Bakit? Samantalang sa Kongreso ay si Zaldy Co lamang," Marcos said on Facebook on Oct. 2.
In the post, she included a quote card of her exchange with Lacson, as well as screenshots showing that she left the group chats.
"Ayoko dyan. Ang gusto ko ay magtrabaho."
Seemingly alluding to fellow senators, Marcos went on to list her recent accomplishments, like authoring three laws. Tigilan nyo ang pagmamagaling at pang-aaway," she said.
Earlier, the senator expressed confusion about whether the blue ribbon committee would continue to investigate flood control projects.
Zaldy Co and her cousin, former House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
For his part, Lacson said that Co and Romualdez will attend the next hearing of the committee, the date of which has yet to be announced.
He also called on Marcos to attend hearings to avoid confusion.
