Miss Universe Thailand National Director Nawat Itsaragrisil is officially restricted from activities of the pageant's 74th edition.

Miss Universe Organization president Raúl Rocha announced this over the organization's social media reels.

He also expressed solidarity with the delegates who walked out of a pre-pageant event after the confrontation between Itsaragrisil and Miss Mexico Fátima Bosch on Nov. 4.

"I will not allow the values of respect and dignity towards women to be violated," he said in Spanish.

“Unfortunately, Nawat has forgotten the true meaning of what it means to be a genuine host," Cantú added.

Itsaragrisil spoke with Bosch for allegedly not posting about Thailand and not taking part in Miss Universe Thailand's shoots, despite agreeing to be filmed by American-Spanish TV network, Telemundo.

The MUO president also expressed “great indignation toward Nawat for the public aggression he committed against Fatima Bosch, whom he humiliated, insulted, and showed a lack of respect."

"Nawat, you need to stop,” he asserted.

Rocha also said that he has postponed the sashing ceremony to “avoid any interaction with Nawat, who, in his constant desire to be the center of attention, caused this incident."

“For the above reasons, I have restricted Nawat’s participation in the events that are part of the 74th Miss Universe competition, limiting it as much as possible or eliminating it entirely," he announced.

He added that he had instructed a delegation of MUO executives and diplomatic experts to go to Thailand and manage the situation.

"I wish to reiterate that Miss Universe is an empowerment platform for women so that their voices can be heard in the world. Let this be the banner that goes hand in hand iwth the flag they represent."

Itsaragrisil has since apologized for the viral incident.
