Marcos' satisfaction rating falls to 21%, the lowest since taking office—survey
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s performance satisfaction rating has dropped to 21%—his lowest since he took office in 2022.
In a non-commissioned survey conducted by public opinion research firm WR Numero Uno among 1,412 Filipinos, satisfaction with Marcos' performance had a 14% drop from his previous rating in August 2025.
The firm noted that this is his "steepest decline since February 2025" and his "lowest since the Opinion Monitor began tracking in December 2023."
Nearly half of Filipinos (47%) said they are dissatisfied with the president's performance, a 15% increase from August and his highest dissatisfaction rating since December 2023.
Meanwhile, about 32% were unsure of their assessment.
The strongest disapproval came from younger Filipinos, with 64% who are 30 and younger being dissatisfied with Marcos' performance. Seniors who are 60 and older had a more positive outlook, with 41% approving. Filipinos aged 31 to 59 were split in their views.
Mindanao recorded the highest dissatisfaction at 66%, followed by Visayas at 48%, Metro Manila at 42%, and the Rest of Luzon at 39%. Satisfaction is strongest in the Rest of Luzon at 28% and Metro Manila at 27%, whereas 39% of Visayans were still unsure.
On the other hand, Vice President Sara Duterte's performance satisfaction rating showed little movement at 43%, a 4% decline from her August 2025 rating of 47%.
Dissatisfaction rose slightly to 23% in November from 21% in August, while 34% remain undecided.
By age groups, younger Filipinos are satisfied with the vice president’s performance: 47% among those aged 30 and below, and 44% among 31 to 59-year-old Filipinos. Dissatisfaction was found among senior Filipinos at 32%.
Mindanaoans view Duterte's performance most favorably, with 75% satisfied. Satisfaction rates are lower in Visayas at 49%, the rest of Luzon at 30%, and Metro Manila at 30%.
Dissatisfaction is highest in the Rest of Luzon at 30% and the capital region at 28%.
WR Numero conducted the survey from Nov. 21 to 28 through face-to-face interviews.
The rating comes as the country is dealing with the flood corruption scandal, where Marcos was recently implicated by former congressman Zaldy Co of being involved in the corruption. However, the Malacañang rebuked these claims.
