Got plans this October? Why not spend a day in a museum?

If you're looking for ways to spend your days off productively, several museums are offering free admission and discounted fees this October in time for Museum and Galleries Month, an annual nationwide celebration established by Presidential Proclamation No. 798.

From contemporary art, interactive workshops, to history, here are museums you can check out:

Ayala Museum

In celebration of the Museum and Galleries Month, Ayala Museum is offering as low as P120 discounted admission rate this October.

In the new rates, museumgoers can choose which floor they would like to visit. Admission fees for the second and fourth floors are P120, while the third floor is priced at P250.

Note that the discounted rates apply to children aged 12 and below, senior citizens (local only), persons with disabilities (local/foreign), local undergraduate and high school students, local teachers, local museum workers, local librarians, and AGC employees.

Rates for Filipino residents not included in the said groups will also enjoy exhibits on the second and fourth floors for only P200, while the admission fee on the third floor is P350.

For a full museum experience, access to all floors is available for P500, while those entitled to discounts may enjoy the same perk for P350.

Meanwhile, teachers may visit the Filipinas Heritage Library for free until Oct. 30, and the museum until Oct. 31, provided that they bring up to four guests with discounted admission. Simply present a valid teacher ID upon entry. Learn more about it here.
