Kris Aquino explains why she gave towels to Antoinette Jadaone, Irene Villamor as her 'last day' gift

Kris Aquino clarified several things she had seen online, including why she gave towels as her last day of shooting gift to directors Antoinette Jadaone and Irene Villamor.

For context, in an August 2024 episode of the Ang Walang Kwentang Podcast, Jadaone recalled how the Queen of All Media was known for her generosity in giving “last-day gifts” after months of filming—often giving out items like iPhones, iPads, Rimowa luggage, a television, or even cash to the production staff.

She shared that at one point, Aquino’s assistant Alvin asked Villamor what they wanted. Villamor replied that it was up to them, assuming that she would receive an iPhone. In the end, however, they received a towel.

"Ang lesson do'n, ask and you shall receive," Jadaone quipped.

For her part, Aquino explained, "[Antoinette Jadaone] sana kinwento mo 'yung background why tayo na take 2, because na corrupt 'yung scene when [Ding Dong Dantes]’s character was trying to kill me, nakalublub ako from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. and what you forgot nakisama ka as well as Direk Ayrin (Irene) sa Paglublub natin. But walang nagamit. You said when Dong & I were wrapped in our towels, masarap siguro talaga 'pag Egyptian cotton towels."

Aquino and Dantes starred in the 2011 horror flick Segunda Mano, in which Jadaone served as script continuity supervisor and Villamor as the assistant director.

Aquino added that she's open to gifting the two directors a new device. "Game ako, for you and [Irene], anything new that Apple released this 2025 but [I] have a proposal. Expect a call from Alvin (yes, he’s still with me, after more than 20 years) this week."

In the same post, she also clarified Anjo Yllana's claims about their three-week romance, where the actor said Aquino was also allegedly with Robin Padilla and Aga Muhlach at the time, which he said prompted him to break up with her.

"Anjo Yllana you filled my room with pink balloons for our first monthsary (hindi ako proud but he said [we] didn’t last [three] weeks because pinagsabay ko sila ni Robin. Wala syang kasabay," Aquino wrote.

She recalled one time when she and Yllana were outside of the late former president Cory Aquino's house when there was another man, whom she called "Mr. Surprise," waiting for her.

"You (Anjo) left with these parting lines: Mukhang nakakagulo ako, FYI girlfriend ko sya, kahit feeling ko pag gising ko wala na. The Surprise: Girlfriend mo harapan mong binabastus. You don’t trust her? Dumalaw ako dahil isang buwan akong abroad, dala ko 'yung pasalubong ko… Diba mauuna ka na?" she shared, adding that she was 21 at the time, while Anjo was between 23 and 24, and "Mr. Surprise" was 23.
