Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs are back!

It's the sequel everyone's been waiting for ever since Miranda Priestly schooled Andy Sachs—and the world—about the relevance of a cerulean sweater to the global fashion industry.

20th Century Studios just released the teaser trailer to The Devil Wears Prada 2, featuring images that would make fans of the first film giddy with excitement: studded red stilettos, a rack of couture pieces, a popping champagne bottle, paparazzi, and Meryl Streep (as Miranda Priestly) and Anne Hathaway (as Andy Sachs) reuniting in the Runway magazine elevator.

Watch it below:

Based on the 2003 novel of the same title by Lauren Weisberger, The Devil Wears Prada tells the story of Andy trying to survive in the brutal world of fashion journalism, which Miranda, the editor of Runway magazine, controls.

It quickly developed a cult following, especially because of the film's all-star main cast: Streep, Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. Almost 20 years after the launch of the first film, all four are returning for its sequel, along with original supporting cast members Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman. Joining them is a slew of new characters played by Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammali, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora.

Director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna will be reprising their roles behind the camera as well.

Fans in New York City have caught snippets of the sequel filming in their city, posting behind-the-scene stolen videos of Hathaway crossing a busy street as Andy and Streep waving to fans from inside an office building.

In July, Hathaway posted her own six-second teaser on TikTok showing her brushing her teeth with unkempt hair while wearing a cerulean sweater. To fans of the show, the video brought back two beloved scenes in the original film.

Two months later, Streep and Tucci were seen filming scenes during an actual Dolce & Gabbana show at the Milan Fashion Week.

After just a few hours of the film sequel's teaser trailer release, it had already garnered 2.8 million views on 20th Century Studios' YouTube channel.

The sequel debuts exclusively in theaters May 1, 2026.
