Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto amused social media users when he left a question on Pasig City Public Information Office's post: “Pano niyo ginagawa yung iba ibang font."

This remark from the mayor, who's been the subject of "low tech" jokes because of his outdated phone, earned over 18,000 laugh reacts on Facebook as of writing.

Some users joked that they would teach Sotto, while others were wondering the same thing.

Before its brand refresh in 2019, Facebook used different fonts depending on the digital screen it was used on. For instance, on Windows, Facebook used system fonts like Segoe UI; on Apple devices, it was the San Francisco font.

Following the rebrand, Facebook introduced the custom font Facebook Sans. It’s clean, modern, and easily readable on all digital screens. Today, all Facebook products use this font.

However, Facebook users have discovered a way to make their text on the platform unique. They have have been typing captions, bios, and queries using fonts other than Facebook Sans.

How exactly do you make a Facebook post with a different font?

First, type your update, comment, or bio on the space you’re supposed to type it on Facebook. Then, highlight the whole text and copy it.

Open a window on your browser and type in “font changer.” You can use websites like Font Changer, Quicktools by Picsart, and Lingo Jam. (If you want to be extra safe, check the reviews before choosing your font changer.)

On these sites, generally you will see two fields: one where you will paste your text, and another where the text with different fonts will appear.

Paste the text you copied off Facebook. Almost instantly, you will see the same text but in multiple fonts—some sites offer over 50 choices, complete with emojis.

Then, just copy the weird font of your choice and paste it on Facebook—voila, you have a post with a unique look.
