Netflix star Ruth Codd now has both of her legs amputated at 29.

The Irish actress, who was part of Netflix's The Midnight Club and played Phlegma in How to Train Your Dragon, revealed that she's now recovering from her second leg amputation after losing the right one to an earlier operation.

“I’ve just had my second below-knee amputation. A lot to unpack there for everyone involved,” she said in a TikTok video posted on Wednesday, Nov. 26.

“No legs, who dis? #paralympics2026,” she captioned her video.

Codd had her right leg removed below the knee at 23 after injuring it while playing soccer at 15.

"So, those eight years were operation after operation, and, sometimes they kind of worked for a while, and then I’d end up back on crutches,” she told Teen Vogue in October 2022. “At that age, you think you’re unstoppable, and it was a lot of having to learn a bit too young that sometimes life doesn’t really work out the way you thought it would.”

“But I wouldn’t change it. It made me a really resilient person. I’m thankful for just being able to do simple things like walk around, go on a bike, or ride my horse. It kind of teaches you not to take things for granted,” she added.

Codd said her “life really kind of took a turn” after the operation and went as far as saying it's “the best thing I ever did.”

The actress rose to fame on TikTok before being cast for Netflix’s 2022 television series The Midnight Club, produced by The Haunting of Hill House creator Mike Flanagan. She played Anya, an amputee with a terminal illness.

She also starred in BBC’s hit psychological game Celebrity Traitors UK.
