Alex Gonzaga revealed that she had her nose implant removed after two years.

"Pinatanggal ko na [Gore-Tex] ko!! Back to Asian face tayo but hindi sa factory setting," Gonzaga wrote in her Instagram post, sharing a before-and-after look of her nose.

The actress-content creator shared her rhinoplasty journey in her recent vlog, where she shared why she decided to remove her nose implant.

“Nakapag-decide ako na tanggalin ko na lang," she said.

"Isa sa mga concerns ko is even sina Toni Fowler napapansin nila is laging namumula ang ilong ko. I think 'yung iba sa inyo napapansin 'yun lalo na kapag malamig, 'pag puyat ako, 'pag pagod ako, ganun,” she explained.

Gonzaga added that she frequently seeks professional advice from doctors, including celebrity cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo, whenever she notices a reaction with her nose. They initially addressed it with Advalight, a laser procedure that would help treat redness, but Gonzaga said that the redness tends to return after a while.

In a clip, Belo told her via phone call that the reaction may be due to either rejection or pressure.

Gore-Tex, or expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), is a kind of implant used in nasal augmentation. According to the Gore website, this procedure allows ingrowth of natural tissues around it.

Gonzaga said that while there's nothing wrong with seeking beauty procedures, she advised her followers to practice caution, like getting a second opinion.

“Mahirap na kapag after operation, may mangyari sa’yo kasi irreversible na 'yung gagawin sa’yo,” she said.

Gonzaga first shared she got a nose job in December 2023. Before this, she got a nose thread lift instead of a rhinoplasty in October 2022.
