Maggie Wilson to release book about her 'own truth'

Maggie Wilson shared that her soon-to-be-launched book about her "own truth" is now under "last legal review."

In an Instagram post, the local star announced that her upcoming release titled The Confidence Blueprint is now in its final stretch. "My heart is full," she wrote in the caption. "My lawyer is completing the last legal review before we move into layout and design, which means I’ve had to push back the release just a little longer, and also because I decided to add more pages."

Her book "has been a journey, one I’ve poured my truth, my hurt, my healing, and my hope into," she continued.

"The Confidence Blueprint is almost ready to meet the world, and I can’t wait for you to read the story behind the woman they thought would break," she said.

She then shared some excerpts from her book's prologue, where she emphasized that it was "written from where I stand—not as a perfect woman, not as a victim, not as a heroine—but as a human being trying to make sense of the moments that broke me and the ones that taught me how to rise again."

According to Wilson, each story in her book "comes from my own eyes, my own heart," and was "never meant to wound anyone, reopen old pain, or point a finger at the past."

"If anything, it was written with trembling hands—because telling the truth, even your own truth, is never easy. Especially when the truth carries shadows."

Some parts of it, she said, came from her dark moments "when grief was louder than reason, when exhaustion blurred the line between who I was and who I hoped to be."

"If these pages catch me in those moments, please understand: I am a work in progress. I still am."

She went on to note that The Confidence Blueprint "is not about perfection" but "about honesty—about the courage it takes to look at your life, the beautiful pieces, the broken pieces, the pieces you wish you could rewrite—and say, 'This is mine. This is where I've been. This is who I am becoming.'"

In the back cover of her book, she teased that she would be revealing the lessons she learned about resilience, rejection, and survival through the years—"from pageants and television to legal warfare and exile."

She also posted a photo with her son Connor in an IG carousel teaser for her book. "They took my name, my home, my right to hold my child—but they did not take me," it read.

Wilson shares Connor with her ex-husband, businessman Victor Consunji.

In September 2021, they announced their separation after 11 years of marriage, calling it a "difficult decision" at the time. Later on, however, Consunji and Wilson have gone public with their feud and have since been caught up in legal disputes.

Connor has been staying with Consunji since their split. Wilson claimed that the latter was keeping their son away from her.

Consunji filed a petition for a Temporary and a Permanent Protection Order against Wilson in an attempt to prevent her from communicating with Connor until he turns 18, as she was a "threat" to his mental and physical well-being. But in January, Wilson shared the "good news" on Instagram Story that the family court denied Consunji's petition.

Last July, Wilson, in an Instagram Q&A session, was asked if she was still mad at Consunji, to which she responded in the negative.

"I genuinely want the best for everyone, especially the kids," she said. "I just wish the same could be said in return. Life's too short for grudges[,] and frankly, bitterness is terrible for your skin."
