Prosecutors suspend indictment of woman who attempted to break into BTS’ Jungkook’s home

South Korean prosecutors have dropped the charges against a Chinese woman who attempted to trespass into the home of BTS member Jungkook, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office confirmed.

On Wednesday, they cited the woman’s departure from Korea and the fact that the break-in was unsuccessful as reasons for the decision, noting a low risk of repeat offense.

The woman, reportedly in her 30s, was accused of pressing the keypad lock multiple times at Jungkook’s residence in Yongsan District, central Seoul, around 11:20 p.m. on June 11, the same day the singer was discharged from military service.

Police responded to a report and arrested her at the scene. She later told police she had traveled to Korea specifically to see Jungkook following his discharge.

The case drew renewed attention after Jungkook addressed another trespassing incident during a birthday livestream in September. The singer revealed that he had witnessed the break-in attempt through surveillance footage.

He also warned fans against entering his property and emphasized that surveillance cameras monitor every corner of his residence.

"If you show up, I’ll lock you in. I’ve got the evidence, and you’ll be taken away. Everything is recorded. If you step into the parking lot of my home, you won’t be able to leave unless I open the door for you," Jungkook said.
